FOOD FOR THOUGHT
My photographic work explores the kitchy undertones of food and the relationship between the human body and consumeristic tendencies. The playful attitude is subsidized with the resolute yet delicate subject matter. Food has thusly become my outlet to comment on the viscous attacks on the planet and to those who inhabit it. Our actions have altered this innocence and morphed into the corruption of normalcy. This visual play on food related puns has become interjected with the real-life issues in today’s society. With each image, lies a plate full of controversy between politics and science. The food we consume lacks truth, similarly to that of our current justice system. Our stomachs are at the center of this joke debunking the freedom of farm grown foods and the organic symbology within each.
